Under general supervision, provide Human Resources support to employees and managers, primarily managing full life cycle recruiting including job board advertisement, recruitment of passive candidates, partnering with agencies, and conducting phone screens and interviews. The HR Generalist will also conduct new hire orientations, and maintain the requisition log and appropriate records for Federal OFCCP regulations. This position will require flexibility and be assigned special HR projects as needed and will also serve as a back-up for Payroll.
• Manage the full life cycle recruitment (from the opening of requisitions to the preparation of offer letters) and assist hiring managers with filling positions in a timely and efficient manner. • Compose and prepare confidential documents and correspondence. • Post positions on all major internet job boards. • Facilitate pre-employment background checks and references for final candidates through Kontron’s third party provider. • Conduct new employee orientation and mandatory new hire training. • Maintain employee training records for ISO compliance. • Assist with company employee events. • Schedule interviews and book travel for candidates through assigned company travel agency. • Provide HR Administrative support where necessary, such as preparing check requests, candidate expense reports, and opening and distributing incoming mail. • Work closely with the Director of HR and the Sr. HR Generalist on other special projects such as cross-training on Payroll and serving as a back-up. • Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field or equivalent education and experience. • 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience, including recruitment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to establish strong rapport with hiring managers, candidates, and employees. • Strong organizational skills, process-oriented, deadline driven and excellent customer service skills. • Ability to appropriately and professionally handle confidential information. • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Visio and ADP a plus. • Familiarity with Affirmative Action Plans and OFCCP regulations. • Familiarity with EEO-1 and Vets 100 reporting.
