Under general supervision, for released products, responsible for resolving technical issues arising in the products, and proposing, testing, and implementing design changes to improve the products’ cost, reliability, performance, correcting missing or wrong functionality, and adding minor new functionality as requested by customers and approved by the business team.
• Responsible for issue debug / failure analysis and implementation of change as required • Responsible for critical design problem resolution (field / production) and implementation of change as required • Evaluation and qualification of component changes based on availability and or cost reduction and or performance improvement • Continuous improvement of released products by changing the design to improve reliability, manufacturing and/or cost • Maintain effective interaction with QA, production, component engineering, customer service and design engineering to involve all needed parties sin the successfully implementation of sustaining engineering results • Perform the required steps and procedures to properly document product updates and changes via the ECO system. Release new products via ECO system.
• AA, Bachelor in Electronic Engineering (B. A. EE), or equivalent work experience • 3-5 years of relevant on-the-job experience • Must be familiar with modern x86 computer architecture • Excellent Electronics troubleshooting skills • Excellent working knowledge with Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzer, Spectrum analyzer, etc. • Working knowledge of PC design and test software • Working understanding of high speed signals physical constraints and signal integrity such as single ended, edge coupled impedances and transmission line theory • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of people across multiple functions • Be able to work in dynamic / multi-task environment with highly visible results
